Christmas poinsettias

Julie loves making red and white cards at Christmas and also mixing and matching old and new products.  She loves this Christmas Song die and stamp set and the statement the large word makes on your card.

Starting with a 6x6 card blank cut a piece of the Berry Paper slightly smaller and mat onto red and white card. Die cut and emboss Petra's Christmas Border in white cardstock and ink the paper through the dies before removing it them. Cut the other border of this set to create a frame. Cut the holly leaves from the die set twice and and again ink through the dies to highlight the embossed areas. Glue the frame in place at the top of the card. Add a piece of ribbon across the centre of the frame (Julie used some Holly leaf ribbon from her stash). Die cut Petra's Flower Bowl in white and ink through the die as before. Glue in place at the bottom centre of the card.

Cut the Poinsettia die petals in red and white several times - I've used Foamarin but you can just as easily use cardstock. Layer into flowers and glue stamens through the centres to complete. Position the flowers at the top of the basket. Die cut the bells and holly leaves in white cardstock and the berries and bow from this set in red cardstock.  Glue into place at the top centre of the card.

Stamp the large Christmas word in red ink then die-cut with the matching die.  Use foam pads to stick to the card to give some dimension.  Stick down the small holly leaf die cuts around the card. Add some red pearls to finish off.
