Een fijne herfstdag gewenst
This little gnome is enjoying the season with his squirrel buddy. With the new Shakables Welcome Fall you can really make falling leaves on your card.
Today’s card shows how you can use the window shakers even if you don’t have exactly the right sized square die frame to use. I wanted to use the new square frame die but the shaker windows I had weren’t quite right the size - so I’ve positioned the shaker window above the stitched frame created by the frame die and then used the rectangular dies from the same set to hide the edges of the window.
I began by cutting out the square frame and inserts with papers from the Welcome Fall set and layering them up – so pretty! I’ve fixed all of the layers in place except for the 4 rectangular mats that frame the inner square. Colour in your image and fix inside the square. Carefully sprinkle some of the Welcome Fall Shakeables onto the coloured image and then stick the Shaker Window over the top, making sure that none of the Shakeable pieces are caught on the frame.
Now adhere the rectangular mats in place and you’ll find they fit nicely to hide the window edges.
Die cut the squirrel, acorns and leaves in autumnal colours and arrange in place using foam pads with the squirrel and acorn for dimension. Stamp sentiment on white card and again use foam pads to fix to the card. Finally add some Duotone Red Enamel dots – I thought they looked a little like autumn berries.
