An outdoor bouquet

Julie Baker used the new stamp- and die set designed by Tiny to create this lovely bouquet. You can see that it is outdoors because there are a butterfly and dragonfly enjoying the flowers as well.

Stamp the flower image on white card suitable for alcohol markers and colour in.  I’ve also added some extra sprays of flowers by dotting alcohol markers in between the stamped flowers. Cut out the flowers with the wavy edged die from the set.  Using the butterfly textures stencil, very lightly sponge light pink ink through the stencil around the white corners of the card.   Use the dark pink ink around the edges of the frame.

Stamp the dragonfly and butterfly images and then cut out using the dies – hold the dies in place with Craft Tape. Colour the insects in after cutting them out.

Die cut the large frames in Brocante Summer papers – I’ve sponged ink through the die for the large frame with dotted edges to highlight the feature of this die. Mat the layers on top of each other using a mat of dark green card for the base colour.  Fix the layered image and papers to the top centre of the card leaving a larger white border at the base of the card.

Die cut the vase in dark green cardstock and fix over the bottom of the flower stems so that it is outside of the matted area on the white part of the card blank.   I’ve used foam to back the vase for added dimension.  Finish off by placing the insect images, adding a tag with string around the vase neck and placing some pearls in the corners.
