Bloemen op het balkon
I wanted to make a new home card for my daughter who has just moved into a new flat that has a little patio balcony where she can sit and grow plants. The new releases for March were perfect to create a scene depicting this. I also used some older dies such as the window die that has now become a door!
My card blank measures 21 x 10 cm and I cut a piece of Kraft card to fit with a slightly smaller layer of green floral card from the Springtime papers set. I cut out the window die twice in Kraft card and cut down the edges and trimmed off the window bars to look like a door onto the balcony. I also cut the trellis die in Kraft and cut it down to look like the balcony fence. I layered the windows and trellis onto the blue blossom paper and then cut out the planter, plant pots, plants and flowers in the different coloured card scraps. For some of the leaves, Isponged green ink through the die for added depth. I die cut the cat in orange paper to look like a Ginger cat walking along the balcony trellis! Once the balcony scene was finished I fixed it to the centre of my card base. I then cut out the New Home word die and inked through the die for definition. Finally, I finished off with a couple of the leaf die cuts to frame the sentiment.
