Panda bear hugs
These cheery panda bears are having a grand party, complete with presents, balloons and bamboo snack. The bright designpapers make the festivities complete.
Firstly, stamp the three panda images in black ink using your stamping platform. This means you can stamp the image repeatedly to ensure that you get a solid black for the panda fur. Cut them out using the dies and colour in using your choice of pens. Stamp and cut three of the presents and colour in. Using the bamboo leaf stamp, stamp a border of leaves in green ink and cut by hand to make a wavy border to place behind the pandas.
Cut design papers and layer onto a mat of turquoise card to fit the card blank. Cut a strip of design paper and layer vertically on left hand side of card. Then fix the bamboo leaf border to the bottom edge of the background papers. Cut the tree border in blue turquoise card and fix across the centre of the scene.
A little tip here - I stuck my pandas down before deciding that it needed something else across the middle of the scene. So, I used the floating panda's die and cut out a piece of the tree border so that it then fitted neatly around his legs! You can see that I probably should have also done this for the tip of the standing panda's party hat as the border slightly overlaps here but it does show off the tip quite well. This is another reason why I love these stamps and die sets from Marianne!
Cut out the clouds and stamp your sentiment onto the largest cloud and fix as shown. Place the pandas and presents onto your scene and stick down. Add a few dots onto the presents a heart onto the clouds, and a button and string to the tree border.
